Business Phone & Voice Mail Systems

I have been selling and installing NEC digital phone and voicemail systems for years and I am happy to move with NEC into their cloud based VoIP Unified Communications platforms. My favorite thing is that I still get to work with my customers on the design, setup, programming, training, and Support on Univerge Blue CONNECT. I spend a lot of my time learning the industry and supporting my long time and new customers. I believe I do provide a valuable service and my customers know they don’t have to be stuck on hold waiting for some tech support line to pick up. I believe that my customers have their own jobs to do, and MY job is making sure their communication system is set up the way it needs to be.

There is a world of difference between the “legacy” digital phone systems and this technology. It’s so flexible and so much more convenient, considering the way that business is conducted today. Univerge Blue CONNECT has desktop and mobile apps, no more reliance on the old and degraded copper phone lines that the phone companies are no longer upgrading or maintaining. Everything goes over the computer networks, but if they fail the mobile apps can be used to pick up calls and communicate with customers and other employees, no matter where they are. With the older systems, I hung them on the wall and there were really not many updates or changes at all. This technology is constantly being developed and updated to keep up with the industry. Maui was always a little behind on technology, so this technology that many on the mainland have already been using for a decade or two, has more recently come to the islands. And I am happy to be part of this transition.

I have customers with agents in the Philippines and all over the world, Maui businesses with offices and workers on the outer islands and I can tie them all together seamlessly, as if they were all in the same office. It’s amazing and a little sad to me that users don’t even actually need a phone on their desk at all with this technology!

There are no longer busy signals or inability to get a line out, no long distance charges, e-fax capability, video meeting set up with the click of a button, conference bridges, voicemail to email, flexible outgoing Caller ID, text chats between other staff, and you can text your customers from your main company phone number. All you need is reliable internet and I work with your I.T. technician to make sure everything gets set up correctly. I stay involved through the whole process and am available for any changes needed on the system. Typically, the monthly cost is comparable or less than what the phone companies charge, and you get so much more! This is great technology that is being improved constantly.
